THE RESORT IMAGE

The project for a tourist complex on Lake Uvildy is based on the idea of a sensitive dialogue between architecture and nature. The architects drew inspiration from the Ural Mountains landscape - hidden valleys nestled between ridges and open plateaus where the horizon merges with the water.

COMPOSITION

This metaphor defined the overall composition: the buildings of the hotel, apartments, conference complex, and restaurants form a closed ring, symbolizing a mountain valley. The volumes are carefully integrated into the existing topography, while the terraced structure echoes the natural slopes, emphasizing the organic nature of the architecture.

INTERIOR SPACE OF THE COMPLEX

The inner space of the complex creates a protected “valley” - an intimate, private, and self-sufficient environment sheltered from winds and external views. This area concentrates public functions and recreational zones, united by pedestrian paths and green spaces.

Gaps between the buildings provide visual connections with the outside world, revealing panoramic views of the lake. The outer space facing the water is perceived as open mountain slopes: from terraces, pools, restaurants, and guest rooms, guests enjoy sweeping views of Lake Uvildy and the surrounding forest.

ZONING

The functional structure is built on the principle of zoning according to the degree of privacy. The public zone includes a conference center, restaurants, a chapel, and a developed waterfront area with a beach, pier, swimming pool, and dock. The semi-private zone combines the hotel complex with a SPA, medical center, infinity pool, restaurant, and promenade. The private zone consists of apartments and cottages nestled within green areas, each with its own parking and recreation spaces. This zoning creates a balanced and logical environment in which every function has its own place and scale.

IMPACT

The project demonstrates a delicate approach to the development of natural territories, where architecture does not dominate the landscape but reveals and enhances its potential.
